I hope others have a chance to read this review and it helps out. We’ve owned our Barefoot Spa PL8 for 6 years and no complaints. This is the first (minor) problem we’ve had. Like I said, Barefoot Spas is on top of their game! We hope to enjoy our spa trouble free for years to come and I’m sure we will.

We love our Barefoot Spa. It has treated us well, and while the ENTIRE family doesn’t use it like they once did, my husband and I still enjoy it regularly. The only complaint we really have is that we were told we wouldn’t have to drain the water as much as we are currently. We are averaging twice a year, but my husband and I are convinced our sales rep said we would rarely have to drain it (like maybe once a year at most). That doesn’t really matter I guess because we’ve gotten used to it. Still it wasn’t something we expected. Another thing we didn’t expect was how easy the inside shell part is to clean when drained. It rarely gets dirt and grime stuck to it like our old one. Even while the water is in it, the shell stays very clean… not at all like the bath tub. This we have been very happy with, as we’ve heard horror stories about yucky stuff hanging out on hot tub surfaces. One of those stories came from our neighbor. They bought a cheap one they found online. Glad we didn’t go that route. Might just keep that bit to ourselves… hee hee…

Can’t wait to show the tub off to my new neighbors. I wanted one that plugs up to the regular outlet, but my salesman talked me in to getting this one with the 220v plug, and glad I did. A buddy of mine down the street bought a tub with the regular plug, and he’s had some problems. I’m usually a cheap skate, but sometimes it pays off to spend a little extra and get better quality. I haven’t rubbed that in at all to my friend down the street. He does know he can come over to my house and use a real hot tub any time he wants though … hee hee

I was very disappointed with Barefoot Spas. I had a family reunion planned at my house, and used this as a deadline. I wanted to enjoy the hot tub with my entire family. It would’ve been a huge hit, I know it. We had almost 20 people here, and the spa would’ve gotten tons of use, but those plans fell short because the spa took 2 days before 8 weeks to get here!!!! I’m never doing business with Barefoot Spas again.
The worst part is, I called almost every week for an update, and every time they assured me, that the hot tub was right on schedule for the time they quoted. I can’t believe it actually took as long as they said. That never happens. The customer service is horrible. All I asked is for them to give me an update on my order. Cant they do this every day? I want an update every day on the progress. Did they give it to me?? No they did not! I invested a lot of money, and was very thorough, and called them I don’t know how many times, and still the spa showed up two days before the maximum time allowance! If you’re on a tight schedule (who isn’t these days?), then do not deal with these people! When I pay this kind of money for something, I expect it to be delivered well before the maximum time allowance at time of purchase!!!

We got the Barefoot Spas PL8 and it fits great in our backyard patio. However, a few things have happened with the spa itself. The first thing was the screw for the siding stripped almost immediately. I have never seen screws strip so easily. I had to remove the siding 5 or 6 times because I had some problems when I first got it because I filled it the wrong way and got an airlock in my pump.
Also, the cover flies off the hot tub like it has wings unless you strap it down. We have a strong wind come though from time to time. It does not say to lock the cover in the owner’s manual. (I read the whole thing), and I figured since the cover does have some weight to it that it wouldn’t take off in the air. Turns out I was wrong. I had no warning of this. A little heads up would’ve helped!

The greatest invention for stress relief ever! It’s evehot tubs give me a way to relax away the stress and tensions of a day like nothing else can. I bought the smaller size which has been great. I do with I would’ve considered going a little bigger just because it isn’t really comfy for more than two, but who cares. Most the time it’s just me anyway…

I ordered a hot tub from this company back in 2014. I chose them because I found the spa at a factory direct sale at the fairgrounds. I paid significantly less than I did for my first spa I bought at my local pool company showroom. I knew I would buy something on the higher end because my first spa was very basic, and wanted upgrades in many ways, and an upgrade is what I got. The lay down lounge has jets that massage my legs, which my old one did not have. The spa has a total of almost twice the jet count. I have pain almost everywhere on my body due to arthritis, and there’s a seat for pretty much every pressure point on my back and legs… and neck the deepest seat has the neck and shoulder therapy. It feels great. My only complaint about that is I wish it was not as deep. I am 5’9”. This is fine though because I just keep the water level low in the spa so it doesn’t splash in my face. Just wish I got the one with the shallower seat. Still my Barefoot Spa is leaps and bounds of an upgrade past my old tub.
Aside from the jets, the spa itself is made of this white shell material that is very sturdy, and also doesn’t get dirty that easy. The siding is easy to keep clean and very tough. This sales guy even kicked it with his boot and it didn’t do any damage.
I’ve had the spa now for 3 years and I haven’t had any problems. Knock on wood!! I’d check them out before buying one off a random website like I almost did for a second time.

We went to the spa show in Suffolk, and saw Barefoot Spas. We were sold. In January 2003 our Barefoot Spas model PL8 was delivered. We put it out on our deck with a permanent
