I did a lot of local and online research before buying my Barefoot Spa

I did a lot of local and online research before buying my Barefoot Spa and making this big purchase. I live near Nashville Tennessee. The prices a the local “hot tub dealers” were $15,000 and up to get the ones we liked. There was even one in there for 23k! Really a hot tub? 23k?? Yep. Sure was. I would never spend that much on a hot tub. you know the rest part? The one we saw for 23k had fewer jets and smaller pumps. It also did not have the fountain jet feature my wife liked.

We bought the Barefoot spa we bought the P-Series PB8, it is fantastic! Better than the one we saw in the store and online. We paid half the price as then in the store. We are very happy we took our time and waited to find this deal.

Went over budget

We ordered a hot tub from Barefoot Spas 1/26, and got it delivered 3/9. No problems there. It was about what we expected as far as time. Electrician had a hard time hooking it up. I didn’t have a certified Electrician install the double 50A 240W GCFI box. It was my friend and thats pretty much what screwed it up. Wish I would’ve paid a professionals to start with. Ended up having a pretty hefty electrical bill. Plus the cost of the deck I built I went way over budget. Got a good deal on the special order hot tub though and so far its been great

Not what we expected

Not what we expected

We love our Barefoot Spa. It has treated us well, and while the ENTIRE family doesn’t use it like they once did, my husband and I still enjoy it regularly. The only complaint we really have is that we were told we wouldn’t have to drain the water as much as we are currently. We are averaging twice a year, but my husband and I are convinced our sales rep said we would rarely have to drain it (like maybe once a year at most). That doesn’t really matter I guess because we’ve gotten used to it. Still it wasn’t something we expected. Another thing we didn’t expect was how easy the inside shell part is to clean when drained. It rarely gets dirt and grime stuck to it like our old one. Even while the water is in it, the shell stays very clean… not at all like the bath tub. This we have been very happy with, as we’ve heard horror stories about yucky stuff hanging out on hot tub surfaces. One of those stories came from our neighbor. They bought a cheap one they found online. Glad we didn’t go that route. Might just keep that bit to ourselves… hee hee…

Pleasure to work with Barefoot Spas
We love our Barefoot Spas hot tub. It’s great when friends come over, too. Our teenaged son loves to get in it after he runs several miles for the cross country team at school. It has also been a pleasure to work with Barefoot Spas. The employees are friendly and helpful.

I’m usually a cheap skate, but sometimes it pays off to spend a little extra

Love the tub… It’s my first one, and it’s been great for my life. Never new hot tub could be used for pain therapy. Sure enough I DO have far less knee and joint pain.

Can’t wait to show the tub off to my new neighbors. I wanted one that plugs up to the regular outlet, but my salesman talked me in to getting this one with the 220v plug, and glad I did. A buddy of mine down the street bought a tub with the regular plug, and he’s had some problems. I’m usually a cheap skate, but sometimes it pays off to spend a little extra and get better quality. I haven’t rubbed that in at all to my friend down the street. He does know he can come over to my house and use a real hot tub any time he wants though … hee hee

We will settle and give Barefoot Spas 3 stars

After trying with no success to get our spa fixed from the pool and spa store where we bought it, Matt from Barefoot Spas stepped in and bent over backwards to make things right. The issues with the spa were not the fault of Barefoot Spas, and they were in fact completely our retailers fault. Matt stepped in and took care of us. The pool store went out of business and Barefoot Spas came to our rescue. We’re happy with the way things turned out. While I would like to give Barefoot Spas 5 stars on this review we will have to settle for 3. While our spa is very nice, and the manufacturer was accommodating, their retail network is sub standard and not worthy of a positive review by any means. Matt from Barefoot spas turned us around because we were very close to rating this company as a 1 star if that…

Perfect little hot tub for the two of us

Perfect little hot tub for the two of us

Our Barefoot spa tub is called the PR5. It is the perfect little hot tub for the two of us. We bought a very big hot tub spa at first years ago. This time around we knew we didn’t need that big again. The kids have grown, and now its just the two of us. Truth be told, our kids rarely used it anyways. I can’t remember too many time when we had more than 2 people in it at once anyways… The PR5 is also good because it has very powerful jets. It also doesn’t require much maintenance. You don’t have to really do anything to it to keep it running. I do recommend keeping the cover on it. I’ve left it off before for a couple days and thats not a good idea if you can help it. We got back from a long weekend and the water level got pretty low and full of leaves and dirt. It is nice that you don’t have to put a lot of chemicals in the water because it has that water filtration ozone thing. Every time we’ve left the cover off by accident is the only time we’ve had to add chemicals to the water. Other than that, its been a breeze. Soak it up in a Barefoot Spa!
