Loving our Barefoot Spa hot tub
I absolutely love the spa. Me and my husband both love it! I will definitely be recommending this tub to some of my work friends. The way you can change the temperature is also very great. It heats up and cools down pretty quick which is great in case I need to cool it down a bit for the kids. You can change it so it’s not too hot for the kiddos. The hubby loves that we can get off from work and come home to a relaxing tub. He likes the lay down seat lounge. My favorite is the seat that massages on top my shoulders. Barefoot makes a great tub. So much better than the one my sister has because its much older than ours.

Our spa is great
We picked up our Barefoot Spa a few months ago when we saw one of the ads on tv about a show. We waited to push our review until we had it for a little bit of some time. Its now been almost a year. The spa is great. Only problem we had is with a headrest. Can’t get it to connect right. The little peg in the back of it is broken off. We’re waiting for a new one to come in the mail now.

Great spa – lots of jets – good customer service
My husband has owned a few hot tubs in his time, but I never have. It took me a while to make my decision. I wanted tomato sure the spa has everything I need (water massage for arthritis symptoms along with sciatic nerve issues). We decided to purchase the Barefoot Spas PL8. It is a great spa. My husband says it is twice as good as the other spas he owned. The PL8 has certification for therapy. We love it. The lounge is great for focusing on my sciatic issues. all the other seats in the spa feel great. The main thing is it reduces inflammation in my joints. I am in less pain as a result. The ozonator is built in to the spa and it does not require maintenance. We like that. We use a lot less chemicals that I thought we would. I recommend Barefoot Spas, especially the Barefoot Spas PL8 if you are having to manage pain on a daily. It has been fantastic for us! I also want to mention the customer service has been a delight as well. They have helped us with a few things my husband couldn’t figure out.

My Barefoot Spa ML8 is my second hot tub, and I couldn’t be happier. It has a lot of power and really does a good job with moving the water around and giving good massage. Setting it up was easy. The ozonator in this one is way better than my old one. I don’t have to put chemicals in it all the time, just chlorine shock about twice a week. We love that!

Can’t be beat!
To date we have owned our Barefoot Spas PL8 for one month, and at our house it’s been very popular. The lights are fabulous, and the seating leaves plenty of room for 5-6 adults. The spa is super efficient. I’ve had the heat on at maximum (104 degrees) and my electric bill barely went up at all! I recommend the PL8 spa and Barefoot Spas in general. Can’t be beat!

Good product
My Barefoot Spa is overall a very good product. The spa comes with three pumps that make the jets very strong and great for a nice deep tissue massage. the chase lounge bench seat has a ton of jets from my upper back to the bottom of my feet. It is a very good size for me. I bought it at the convention center. They delivered it and helped me decide on the best place to put it. It now resides in the corner of my deck. We still have room for our patio furniture. Its beautiful. I will upload pic next time I have a chance so everyone can see it.

We love our Barefoot Spas PL8
Our Barefoot Spa has been an excellent addition to our backyard! The entire family loves it. The hot tub we bought is called the Barefoot Spas P Series PL8. we have owned the spa for about year and we haven’t had any problems with the way it works or functions. The jets work well, and feel amazing. Also, the heater is very powerful and heats the water up very fast. I recommend the Barefoot Spas PL8 to anyone looking for a larger hot tub. We had a small 2 person spa before this one and we enjoy the extra space.

Perfect size and perfect gift
I just want to say what a great job your warranty department did for me on my recent issue with my hot tub. I had a light lens crack and needed a new one. My tub is a little old and it took them a short time to find the right light assembly to work. I just want to make sure Barefoot Spas knows what a fine job the warranty department did for one of their older customers.

I hope others have a chance to read this review and it helps out. We’ve owned our Barefoot Spa PL8 for 6 years and no complaints. This is the first (minor) problem we’ve had. Like I said, Barefoot Spas is on top of their game! We hope to enjoy our spa trouble free for years to come and I’m sure we will.

Was worried I paid too much for my hot tub
Since Ive owned the Barefoot Spas PL8 I have had no problems, and the performance of the machine is great! I’ve had it for about 3 years. I would recommend this brand to friends and family for sure. I’ve had other hot tubs in the past and this one is far superior. The durability of this product is exceptional. I have it in my patio in my backyard and it looks wonderful! My friends always give me compliments when they come over. I’ll never forget when my neighbor said it looks like a space ship.. Guess it kinda does. I feel like I’m in space when Im in it! It def does the jb in the right ways 🙂 The cost of the spa is slightly more expensive then I wanted. Just over 14k, but I still think it was worth every penny! I remember when I bought it, I was worried I was overpaying, but now I don’t really care. Im just glad I got a spa that makes me feel good, and is this reliable… even in the winter!

Ozone system really works
The LED lights in this tub are really nice and very bright. They have multiple settings and modes. We really like this feature. The other thing we like the most is the ozone system. I didn’t want to use chlorine or bromine so I opted to add the Ozo system which claims to remove most of the harsh chemicals from the water. Having owned hot tubs and pools in the past, I can attest to the fact that this ozone system works! We rarely have to add chlorine to the water. Only when we first fill it. Even if the water gets a little could after use, the hot tub actually cleans itself. Really really nice feature. We’ve grown tired of maintenance like this with our other pools and hot tubs. If you have the option of getting ozone in your hot tub, get it!

Not what we expected

We love our Barefoot Spa. It has treated us well, and while the ENTIRE family doesn’t use it like they once did, my husband and I still enjoy it regularly. The only complaint we really have is that we were told we wouldn’t have to drain the water as much as we are currently. We are averaging twice a year, but my husband and I are convinced our sales rep said we would rarely have to drain it (like maybe once a year at most). That doesn’t really matter I guess because we’ve gotten used to it. Still it wasn’t something we expected. Another thing we didn’t expect was how easy the inside shell part is to clean when drained. It rarely gets dirt and grime stuck to it like our old one. Even while the water is in it, the shell stays very clean… not at all like the bath tub. This we have been very happy with, as we’ve heard horror stories about yucky stuff hanging out on hot tub surfaces. One of those stories came from our neighbor. They bought a cheap one they found online. Glad we didn’t go that route. Might just keep that bit to ourselves… hee hee…

Love the tub… It’s my first one, and it’s been great for my life. Never new hot tub could be used for pain therapy. Sure enough I DO have far less knee and joint pain.

Can’t wait to show the tub off to my new neighbors. I wanted one that plugs up to the regular outlet, but my salesman talked me in to getting this one with the 220v plug, and glad I did. A buddy of mine down the street bought a tub with the regular plug, and he’s had some problems. I’m usually a cheap skate, but sometimes it pays off to spend a little extra and get better quality. I haven’t rubbed that in at all to my friend down the street. He does know he can come over to my house and use a real hot tub any time he wants though … hee hee

I would recommend this company
I bought my spa at the Collinsville spa show. very happy with the spa. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. I paid about half price what other spas cost. I would recommend this company, and their products. The only drawback is the company is based out of Virginia. I live in Missouri. I do prefer to buy things local. However, I got a REALLY good deal on my PL8. Like I said, about half of the price compared to what I’ve seen. Also, I’ve called a couple times and they’ve been good at getting back to me. They tell me they have “service techs” in my area that would work on my tub if I ever needed it. That makes me feel pretty good. Still, wish I had a door to knock on if I needed one. At any rate, the risk reward was there for me because I got such a good deal. Hope it continues to pay off!

Do not deal with these people

Do not deal with these people
Barefoot Spas is one of the most unreliable companies ever. I ordered a hot tub from their factory, and they promised they would have it to me in 6-8 weeks. Every time I’ve ordered something like this, it never takes as long as they say it will. When I ordered my custom closet, they said 4-6 weeks, and it only took 3 weeks, so why did it take 8 weeks to get my hot tub?!!!

I was very disappointed with Barefoot Spas. I had a family reunion planned at my house, and used this as a deadline. I wanted to enjoy the hot tub with my entire family. It would’ve been a huge hit, I know it. We had almost 20 people here, and the spa would’ve gotten tons of use, but those plans fell short because the spa took 2 days before 8 weeks to get here!!!! I’m never doing business with Barefoot Spas again.

The worst part is, I called almost every week for an update, and every time they assured me, that the hot tub was right on schedule for the time they quoted. I can’t believe it actually took as long as they said. That never happens. The customer service is horrible. All I asked is for them to give me an update on my order. Cant they do this every day? I want an update every day on the progress. Did they give it to me?? No they did not! I invested a lot of money, and was very thorough, and called them I don’t know how many times, and still the spa showed up two days before the maximum time allowance! If you’re on a tight schedule (who isn’t these days?), then do not deal with these people! When I pay this kind of money for something, I expect it to be delivered well before the maximum time allowance at time of purchase!!!

Cover flies off the hot tub beware!

Cover flies off the hot tub beware!

We got the Barefoot Spas PL8 and it fits great in our backyard patio. However, a few things have happened with the spa itself. The first thing was the screw for the siding stripped almost immediately. I have never seen screws strip so easily. I had to remove the siding 5 or 6 times because I had some problems when I first got it because I filled it the wrong way and got an airlock in my pump.

Also, the cover flies off the hot tub like it has wings unless you strap it down. We have a strong wind come though from time to time. It does not say to lock the cover in the owner’s manual. (I read the whole thing), and I figured since the cover does have some weight to it that it wouldn’t take off in the air. Turns out I was wrong. I had no warning of this. A little heads up would’ve helped!

The greatest invention for stress relief ever! It’s evehot tubs give me a way to relax away the stress and tensions of a day like nothing else can. I bought the smaller size which has been great. I do with I would’ve considered going a little bigger just because it isn’t really comfy for more than two, but who cares. Most the time it’s just me anyway…

I paid significantly less than I did for my first spa

I ordered a hot tub from this company back in 2014. I chose them because I found the spa at a factory direct sale at the fairgrounds. I paid significantly less than I did for my first spa I bought at my local pool company showroom. I knew I would buy something on the higher end because my first spa was very basic, and wanted upgrades in many ways, and an upgrade is what I got. The lay down lounge has jets that massage my legs, which my old one did not have. The spa has a total of almost twice the jet count. I have pain almost everywhere on my body due to arthritis, and there’s a seat for pretty much every pressure point on my back and legs… and neck the deepest seat has the neck and shoulder therapy. It feels great. My only complaint about that is I wish it was not as deep. I am 5’9”. This is fine though because I just keep the water level low in the spa so it doesn’t splash in my face. Just wish I got the one with the shallower seat. Still my Barefoot Spa is leaps and bounds of an upgrade past my old tub.

Aside from the jets, the spa itself is made of this white shell material that is very sturdy, and also doesn’t get dirty that easy. The siding is easy to keep clean and very tough. This sales guy even kicked it with his boot and it didn’t do any damage.

I’ve had the spa now for 3 years and I haven’t had any problems. Knock on wood!! I’d check them out before buying one off a random website like I almost did for a second time.

In 1999 I fell 28 feet off the cliff behind our home. I missed rocks and landed head first in sand. We live on a river in NC. After months of therapy, and glad to be alive, my only hope for pain relief was a chiropractor 2x a week. Even with BCBS insurance, this cost $90 a week.

We went to the spa show in Suffolk, and saw Barefoot Spas. We were sold. In January 2003 our Barefoot Spas model PL8 was delivered. We put it out on our deck with a permanent
